The clients required a booking room, conference room, meeting room, kitchen area, portfolio library, private office area, storage space, server room, and reception space.
The existing space is a large, nicely proportioned volume. There is a spectacular play of reflected and direct light throughout the day. The proposed open plan and section - keeping new walls away from the exterior wall and ceiling allowed and developed this light play. Minimal articulation forefronts the people, the models, and the existing space. The existing wood floor was stained and refinished in a dark gloss. The existing walls and ceiling was painted white, new walls chocolate, with the entrance wall in red linen. The completed work is airy, sleek, playful, and strong. |
