This project involved the renovation of an early
20th century home into a law office for our client
who wished to create a work space for himself and
his associates, as well as meeting spaces for clients
that represented their mutual interest in openness,
honesty and detail.
To achieve this goal we created an inviting and
enjoyable passage into the building through a garden
and exterior stair. We opened the ground floor and
created an airy and elegant reception area and boardroom.
The new exposed steel structure custom fittings,
the receptionist’s desk and cabinetry show
sophistication and an attention to detail that reflect
our client’s law practice.
This project was awarded the Town of Aurora Heritage
Conservation Award. Equally gratifying is the enjoyment our client
takes in the space. He told us that “every
day when I go to work, I look around and take pleasure
in how beautiful and functional this property has
become for my office. I feel lucky to come to work
in such a great setting in such a great town.” |
