Rock Fracture Dynamics and Structures Laboratory - Department of Civil Engineering, University of Toronto, 2004 with Architect Jeffery Stinson

This project created laboratory and digital facilities, teaching and graduate research space, also included meeting and presentation areas.

Each of these functions is able to overlap and adapt to meet academic requirements. This facility demonstrates emerging relationships between research and teaching, engineering and science, and public and institution. The work performed is made visually accessible from and through the institution by the layering of glazed walls which create a dynamic play of light, reflection and transparency.
