Located in Huang Fe, near the city of Xiamen, China, and designed in joint venture with StudioM this 1,000 sq.m. conference centre overlooks a golf course and lake. The building will accommodate 300 people and also includes a bar and lounge. The building is part of a larger development comprising, residential and recreational uses. The climate is sub tropical.

The design begins with a marble clad floor raised above the ground plane and 'folded' up to create an entrance wall. A butterfly roof, with a wood soffit, supported on steel columns shades the building and provides an open floor plan and the dispersion of light from all directions. Three sides of the building are sheathed in glass and open to broad terraces. A long low stone pool and fountain parallels the front of the building, organizing the entrance and providing cooling for the breezes which can move through the building.
