This exciting restaurant project was designed and
contracted by the architect and executed with a
minimal budget using industrial materials and products.
To create both a compelling and larger space we
cleaned out the interior by removing existing walls
and finishes. This revealed rich and textured brick
side walls, which we left exposed. We replaced bearing
walls with douglas fir columns and beams.
A floating plywood ceiling defines the dining area
and the open kitchen is created with industrial
steel framing and thick sheet steel panels. The
bar and serving station are built from steel sheet,
glass and a copper slab. |
