A group of physicians commissioned us to design a facility that would allow them to carry on their medical practices while independently generating income and building equity.

To meet the client’s income generating goal we proposed a building housing five two storey luxury loft apartments above a medical centre. This concept allowed the development requirements and costs to remain low while returns remained high. This concept would also keep taxes, operating and maintenance costs lower.

We also wanted the building to reflect strength, respect and dignity. To achieve this goal we carefully arranged good quality materials to achieve significant presence on the street fulfilling municipal planning requirements for densification and urban form.
