Toronto Community Housing, the owners of 42 Hubbard, asked us to completely rebuild this lovely 1920’s era apartment building. The existing interior will be removed and replaced with a modern, fully serviced, and energy efficient structure, providing 27 affordable apartments. Most of the exterior will be retained, restored and integrated with the new work. A roof top tenant amenity space and laundry with exterior terrace and views overlooking Lake Ontario is also planned. The building is designed to meet a 40% efficiency improvement over the National Building Code for Energy Conservation in Buildings and meet the City of Toronto Green Development Standard. |
